Aimed at supporting your own press activities, you will find a range of services brought to all exhibitors of photokina by Koelnmesse’s press department.

To get your press releases on the news ticker and directly to the editorial systems of the media, the dpa subsidiary news aktuell, Germany’s leading press service, offers distribution packages at attractive trade fair terms. Your texts and photos will reach news agencies, the daily press, independent journalists, trade and magazine editors and insiders of the industry. At the same time, your press releases will be published at www.presseportal.de, Germany’s leading database for press releases.

You have the opportunity as an exhibitor to hold a press conference on the Exhibition Centre. We would like to point out however that a press conference is only recommended if really new information or products are to be presented.

Inform the media in the run-up to photokina Cologne about your fair participation and new products/innovations. You can order a list containing a selection of specialist editorial office addresses in Germany and abroad by e-mail: b.steiner@koelnmesse.de.

In order to ensure optimum efficiency in your press activities, our press pigeon holes effectively support you in informing journalists and other target groups about your company. In the process, our press pigeon hole combined package consisting of two press baskets on site and a virtual online press compartment, which is set up for you on the homepage of the respective event, offers you the greatest possible range and flexibility for your press releases.

If you commission photographers or video teams with taking photos or shooting videos on your fair stand, the persons you have commissioned must report to the respective Fair Security Office in charge, Messewache Nord (E-mail: MeWaNord@koelnmesse.de, Telephone: +49/[0]221/821-2550), and present their admission tickets and written commission. This office will then issue these persons with a permit providing them with access to the exhibition halls also after 18:00 hrs. This method of procedure does not apply if you commission the Cologne Photographers’ Guild (Fotografen-Innung Köln), Frankenwerft 35, 50667 Cologne, E-mail: borhegyi@kreishandwerkerschaft-koeln.de, Telephone: +49 / [0]221/20 70 420, Fax: +49 / [0]221/20 70 445, who are present on the Exhibition Centre premises (Service and Information Center), with your photo and video requirements.
