In the second part, a photo conservator will report on his experiences with modern materials. Other subjects of discussion look at the technology of fine art inkjet media, the revolutionary printing process “High Definition Skia Photography” as well as photobook printing processes.
Dr. Erich Salomon Prize 2010 awarded by the German Photographic Association (DGPh)
This year, the Swiss photographer Michael von Graffenried will be awarded the Dr. Erich Salomon Prize by the German Photographic Association (DGPh). The award ceremony will be held at photokina 2010 where Graffenried will also exhibit works from his extensive portfolio in the Visual Gallery. The prize, which has been awarded since 1971 for “the exemplary use of photography in journalism”, is in memory of Dr. Erich Salomon, the great photographer of the Weimar Republic, to whom modern photojournalism owes an enormous debt.
